About

About Stephanie McKenzie

My personal mission is to inspire genuine, lasting change in my students and those with whom I personally interact.

Throughout 2020 I have been thoroughly enjoying engaging in supply teaching in the Gold Coast area. Moving forward I have a great desire to connect more deeply with and contribute to a group of students and teaching colleagues on a more consistent basis. I enjoy the rewarding nature of watching students progress and flourish over the long-term.

I am highly enthusiastic about teaching and ensuring students feel safe and supported in the classroom. For this reason, I have completed additional training in trauma-informed teaching, growth mindset and emotional intelligence.

I enjoy the challenge of continually adapting my teaching to the needs of my students, based on both formative and summative assessment, and consider myself to be a flexible, dependable and dedicated teacher. I take great pride in the fact that I am able to quickly build rapport with students, other teachers and parents. I have a positive attitude and work well with others.
